Big Game Football Field Party Dip from Everyday Good Thinking, the official blog of @HamitlonBeach (https://everydaygoodthinking.com)

This football field-themed party dip is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at your big game party! To make it, use aluminum foil or parchment paper to create three sections in a large serving dish. Fill the center with guacamole and the ends with salsa and cheese dip, creating the outline for a field and two end zones. Then, fill a piping bag with sour cream and use a #2 tip to create the lines on the field. Don’t forget to make a line where the field and the end zones meet.

To make the football, we use a miniature sausage and a couple little strips of shredded cheese. The laces were drawn on with sour cream. We like our ball on the fifty yard line to be fair, but if you have a favorite team, you can give them some extra yardage.

To make the football players, you need olives (we used green and black), baby carrots, mustard and a piping bag with tip (#1). Use a paring knife to trim the olives into the shape of a helmet and gently press them onto the end of a baby carrot until they are secure. Use a piping bag of mustard to draw a face mask onto each carrot. When you have the teams assembled, you can start placing them on the field. Referees optional; if they make a bad call, you can always eat them.

Our goalposts are made with pretzel sticks. White chocolate is the perfect edible glue to hold them together; just melt a few morsels in the microwave until they begin to soften. Let the goalposts dry for about ten minutes on wax paper, then add them to the field. Looks like a first down dip to us. Go ahead and show us your touchdown dance!

Whether you’re watching football at home or in a restaurant, chances are chicken wings are on the table. With the big game around the corner, I’m already brainstorming watch party recipes. Some football season favourites like Buffalo chicken dip and chili con carne made the starting lineup, along with these deep-fried garlic parmesan chicken wings.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

In a food processor fitted with the chopping/mixing blade and with the processor running, add parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper through the food chute. Process for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is grated and set aside.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels – this cuts down on splatter when they drop into the deep fryer. Place one layer of chicken wings in the fryer basket and lower into the preheated oil (375 degrees). Fry the wings for about 10 minutes. When they’re cooked and golden brown, remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Brush the chicken wings with a mixture of melted butter and garlic (no wonder they taste so good), and sprinkle with the parmesan mixture and a little oregano. The garlic and butter add flavor and help the cheese stick to the wings.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Dip these garlic parmesan chicken wings in peppercorn ranch, blue cheese dressing, or hot sauce for added flavour and the full wing experience. If your hands aren’t messy by the end of the play, you’re doing it wrong.

The big game marks the end of football season – one last hurrah. And what better excuse to pull out all the stops at your watch party? If you’re already brainstorming gameday goodies, put this Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad on the menu. It’s a guaranteed W.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad

This recipe is everything you love about Buffalo wings – plus pasta. Sign. Me. Up.

In a large bowl, stir together mayonnaise, hot pepper sauce (we used Frank’s Red Hot for that authentic Buffalo wing flavor), white vinegar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad

Add shredded chicken, pasta (we used bowtie), celery, blue cheese (plenty of it), and green onion to the mayonnaise mixture. We used a rotisserie chicken to save on time, but you could use leftover slow cooker shredded chicken or canned if you have it in the pantry.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad

Toss it all together until the pasta and chicken are fully coated with the spicy, creamy sauce.

The blue cheese is the perfect complement to the heat in the sauce, while the celery adds texture – a nice crunch – to the pasta salad. It’s bright, it’s flavourful, it’s perfect for feeding a crowd.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta Salad

Serve it chilled alongside Buffalo wings and Buffalo chicken dip for an all-Buffalo-everything watch party or put it in your back pocket and make it for the first backyard BBQ of the summer. No matter the season, this Buffalo chicken pasta salad is sure to put you on the winning (menu-planning) team.
